Anybody keen of Harris RF-353 - AM7224/URC?
I just bought this amplifier which I want to use with my Ten-Tec Orion
radio. It is also planned to evaluate the automatic band switching and
tunning. From all documentation available is, however, not clear how
should work an interface to other radio than the matching Harris
RT-1446. There is a single wire data transfer (the previous RF-110A used
something similar to the BCD code, it was very nice). A rather strange
serial data protocol, unknown coding scheme etc.
A bit later is planned a QSK modification (I operate exclusively CW at
higher speeds) and I hope I will be able to remove/bypass the very long
T/R timing constant of 200 ms. But this is another stuff, anyway if you
have some info on this problem, I will be also very happy.
I would be very thankful for any help or advice.
