Interestingly, Richardson just signed on as a distributor for Thales tubes
(former Thomson) of France. The good news is, they are just a distributor for
Thales, CPI/Eimac and others now. You do have a choice, and can order direct
from OEM with a credit card even. What Richardson does well, is maintain
inventory for people in a pinch, like with a transmitter off the air and no
spare (or a dead spare) tube. They charge a premium price, sort of like buying
a gallon of milk at a 7/11 convenience store here in the states.
