I am rebuilding an amp I built many years ago for CW/SSB use. I plan on using it for mostly CW and AM this time so I am upgrading the power supply. Most designs I see place the filament transformer inside the RF deck somewhere. Is there any reason why it could not be put on a shelf under the RF deck?
