I am thinking of buying an amplifier after many years of HF QRP
(shudder) operating and need a bit of advice. Due to my living in a
densely populated subdivision, I prefer to keep my power levels well
below the maximum legal limit due to my use of a ground mounted
vertical. My main HF radio is a Ten Tec Omni V. I have been thinking
about getting a Heath SB-1000 amp, but would like some comments on those
from people who are far more familiar with them than I am. Are these a
decent amp for someone who normally works CW, but does not use QSK?
What issues does this amp have for this sort of use?

Steve WA9JML
