I am just wondering, > how come no > manufacturers use them? 75% efficiency 750 watts heat at 3kW load 17% regulation $700 Unless someone is going to tote something around there isn't any reason to use one. The main advantage of tubes is a regular transformer can be used. If I wanted to use a switching supply I'd use FET's, not tubes. _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
