I suffer from almost exactly the same symptoms !!!!
And I DID in fact open a 4cx250 way back also !!
I have wondered,... now I know !

But seriously,- BeO is not a safe material...
It is potentially much more dangerous than asbestos..
But cigarettes are also deadly...and I still smoke..
but I do not recommend smoking or try to tell people
that it is not dangerous....
