If it's the Clipperton-L, I have had one for many years with no problems.
It will run 1kw easily. It does not work so well on 160 meters, about 700
watts or so. I have seen good working Clipperton's go between 350 - 500
dollars on Ebay. Even non working units go for 300 bucks, but they are easy
to fix, so I would take the chance if you can get it cheap enough. Plus the
572b's are pretty cheap to buy.
