[Amps] Help with MLA 2500

Hi folks....

I have never owned a Dentron amp and currently run Alpha.  A friend uses the 
MLA 2500 with a pair of 8875's.  The amp will run 1200w out, and then suddenly 
drop to 600w.  Within 15-20 seconds, it will come back to full power out.

He thinks it's a tube.......I wonder.  Anyone have experience with this issue?
