Hi Group,

I have two Jennings Vac Caps....Ceramic Types, 3kV, 1500pf and 3000pf I
have earmarked for an HF Linear Project when I gather the rest of the
required bits.

I have cleaned them up, and they both measure good for Capacity as
marked on them. They both have a blue Nose Cone, for want of a better
description around the half inch shaft. Each Nose Cone can be moved in a
circular motion, and each has a small grub screw on the outer end, close
to the Shaft. Can anyone tell me what the grub screw is for, and if the
blue Nose Cones can be removed to clean under them, if this is required.
I do not have a Hi Pot Tester, and was thinking of applying 2kV from an
EHT Supply to them, through a large current limiting resistor, in a form
of Hi Pot Test...any other suggestions ?
