Thanks to all who replied to my query here and via email..There are many
and varied materials suggested..Meanwhile I went for a deeper scrounge
into my extensive junkbox and found some old 75 watt 300ohm WW
resistors..After stripping off the outer coat of ceramic and wire I
ended up with some nice ceramic choke formers 3/4 dia x 6.5 inches
long..I will utilise a tight fitting circlip for the start and finish of
my choke windings..
