I have an SB-200 and was wondering if it is better to let it idle when I am
tuning around or leave it off and turn it on only when I need it. I built a
Standby Switch into the control cable from the radio to the amp so I can use
the radio without keying the amp. I used an Opto-isolator from Ham Gadgets and
only provide power to the circuit when I want to use the amp. It has worked
well but I wonder which scenario is better for the amp.
