Size matters!
I got my 7500W oil filled modulation transformer for a song since nobody
else wanted it due to size and problem moving it. Backed up my 1954
F-350 to the dock and picked it up with the 1 ton engine hoist mounted
in the bed.
I dont have to worry about a perfect match either or needing a
modulation reactor with the 304TL's as that sucker just wont saturate.

I don't know, ~$600 and a little elbow grease sure beats buying a new
transformer (non-pole pig) at half those ratings. Adding a secondhand
variac would make it extremely versatile, and still keep the cost under
a
new one. Just something to think about.

time I had it shipped to me I would have almost $600..in one
