Aloha All,
I have a  Ameritron AL-572 that goes instantly into Transmit as soon as I 
turn it to  Operate and the LED lights up But there is no output and no RX 
Input SWR is  Very High and the relay is fine. I need to turn off the amp to 
get RX back.  Any suguestions?

Aloha all thanks for the  reply's I found the problem it was a diode that 
is in the keying line and it  was shorted. It did not matter if there was 
anything plugged into the Rely  jack it would key. Replaced dioed and it is 
working fine now.

Yes, Virginia, there certainly was  a Hunter
"Bandit" sold to hams.  I saw one, but
never operated  one.  It was a bargain
in its day--- based on price,  anyway.

I have used them in many  hf, vhf, and 432 amps for years. Just buy the 
correct ones.
