[Amps] 3K Classic project.

I have come to the conclusion after quite a bit of testing this afternoon that 
I indeed have a bad 1214 plate transformer. 
 
When energizing it with 120 volts, I see quite a flash and whisp of smoke on 
the back side towards the front of the cabinet.  
 
At this point, I am exploring all avenues including a fellow ham who says he 
might be able to rewind the old one.
