I just finished a multi band amp with such circuit which works extremely
well.
The pair of tubes are similar to 4-1000A and are highmu configured.
Gain is very good and reaches almost 14db using 6KV of plate voltage.
I am working also on the conversion of a Henry 2000D (3CX3000A7 27MHz)
chassis to 15m which runs already fine on 10m. There the cathode coil is
just 1.5µH

Has anyone more information or experience with a bifilar tuned input. Orr
only briefly describes it in 23rd Radio Handbook (p. 15.19), and there are a
couple webpages (wb8erj.com, raibeam.com) with some basic info only but no
genuine design rationale or specifications.
