Hey amp builders,

As a general rule, what would be considered "good" regulation and good
ripple of an HV power supply?

If the no load voltage for a 3cx800A7 amplifier's power supply is 2500 V, while
the fully loaded voltage is 2100 V @ 1A, is that "good"?   Is it good enough?

What about the ripple, what is acceptable?   For the above, using 330 uF
capacitive input filter and a full wave bridge, the ripple is calculated to
about 25V p-p.   Is that "good enough"

thanks,
Paul (KG7HF)
