I was stupid enough to buy a FT-221R from him that was advertised to be
in "mint", "perfect", "brand new" [ad nauseum] condition.
When it arrived, it was the dirtiest, smelliest piece of junk I'd ever
laid eyes on. The case screws were stripped out and someone had added a
3rd-party front-end board that was laying loose in the bottom of the
case, "insulated" by a folded piece of paper. Even under the dirt, the
case looked like it had been through a threshing machine. I could go on
for some time, but you probably get the idea by now.
When he received my adjective-laden email he immediately offered to
refund my money, which is probably how he stays in business without a
horrible feedback rating.
