I called and asked what they would give me for a 3CV400,000A7  dud (core).
They would give me $100 which would not even pay for the shipping. There is 
almost 100 lbs of copper in the
tube.

Good idea, I'll give them a try if and when the tube in my AL-1200 croaks.
But, after almost 20 years of use, it shows no signs of slowing down !!

The thing may outlive me.
