   Remember you can use a large audio output transformer (for or out of a 
guitar amplifier for 
instance) backwards as a modulation transformer fed by a (solid state?) audio 
amplifier.
  (such as a HiFi amplifier)   Just get the RF plate or screen impedance 
correct.
