Patrick, Chuck, whoever you are, I strongly suggest you start out with
a project that is a bit less ambitious but very valuable
educationally. I advise you to acquire a SB220 and use it as a
project amp for experimentation. Try some mods--for example build a
FWB outboard B+ supply; maybe with a higher current rated plate
transformer to get the 220 off its voltage doubler supply. build
some kits. read tube data sheets. set up a workshop.
