I regularly use Bird slugs outside of the calibrated frequency range. All
that is required is that you need to run a correction factor (multiplier) to
correct the reading. Readings will gradually change as you go outside of
the calibrated range.
You can recalibrate the slugs, but it is easier to simply make an adjustment
factor.
You would obviously not run 2500 watts into a 5 watt slug, because the diode
is closer to the line.
You will need a standard to determine the proper correction factor.
