*** Forget I mentioned welding. Riveting is clearly the way to go. Flush
head aircraft rivets, countersink the top a little deep so they sink below
the surface, then dab of bondo - poof, no rivet head! Braces can be cut
from
quarter-inch aluminum angle stock.
