Hello Charles:

I have had no trouble running 4100 VDC for plate voltage on the 8877.

There are guys that run close to 5 KV.

Forgot to add this in my last post about high 8877 anode voltage:

I've considered a "buck" transformer on the main transformer
primary. I only need to "buck" the input a few volts (less than 20).

Is this worth the trouble? Or should I just run it a tad high?

Charles - K5ZK
