Even if you have a good reason, adding a tube or tubes to any amp
seems to me to invite problems.

1.  The PA anode Z changes possibly needing adjustments to the pi
network, maybe coil taps moved and/or different range for C1?

2.  The plate blocking caps may not handle the added circulating
current--ditto for the fixed load caps and bandswitch wafer that
switches them in.

you have the plate choke, input network, aforementioned power
supply--doubling the power of an amp means almost building up a new
amp.
