The current D550 is rated 260W/200W. If that's not enough, you can step up to the D650, which is rated 300W/200W. The D650 uses a 3 wire cord, with the tip grounded (for those ESD-sensitive toobs). ;-)

CAUTION!  Buying a NEW D550, you will be disappointed. They are now rated
much less that 240/335.
Be careful and look at the rating before you buy!

I have picked up a few Wellers 8200's and D550's at hamfests for as little as $2.00 working and in good shape but minus the tip. It is odd that some hams think that soldering guns are useless or only for tube work. Bargains are out there but you have to be early and dig in the boxes!
