Yes there is an attenuator in the input of the SB-230 (actually a swamped
grid input) . Also, the output should be very close from 80 m to 10 meters.
I've had several of these amps in the past. 73 from Fern VE7GZ

My 432 MHz amp using a single 8874 tube takes 25 drive to produce 500W
out.
