I have an Alpha 87a 'remoted' but in the shack, nevertheless I have not
touched any switch on the Alpha in 5 years and do everything by PC software
and it works great. Maybe the only thing I would add if I had it truly
remote would be a temp sensor over one of the 3CX800A7 vents to make sure
the air circulation never became compromised without me knowing about it
quickly.

Subject: [Amps] Alpha 87A in Remote Station Service

I am in the process of trying to set up a remotely controlled HF station. I
am looking at amplifiers selection and was wondering if anyone out there has
had experience they could share about using the Alpha 87A at a remotely
controlled station? I am wondering if it is a good choice for this sort of
application. Thanks!
