So then what do they do with the heasink which is almost the full amp
section including chassis?
Ive been staring at a VHF 2 holer for a couple of decades that was tossed
into the trash bin at a hamfest. These days all that cast aluminum is
probably the most valuable part.

The EME guys convert these to run a pair of 8877 tubes. They sell for $100
or so. Mike

Subject: [Amps] Old Moto RF Decks
I have some of the old Motorola (Micor?) RF decks. I have both the VHF &
UHF types. The 2 meter is running a pair of the 8560A tubes. I can't
recall
the single tube in the UHF decks.
The question being is there any market for these things now-a-days? I had
intended to build up a PS for them eventually. But, got hooked on playing
with SSHPAs.
