I replaced RFC2 with a Ohmite pn B20J10RE (10 ohm / 20W) vitreous enamel wirewound resistor. It JUST fits. Bryan WA7PRC Date: Sun, 17 Jan 2016 From: Carl KM1H Subject: Re: [Amps] SB 220 Exploding Resistor That blown resistor may have been underated and blew during a tube arc. The idea of a surge suppressor is to not fail and allow the milliseconds for a fuse/breaker to open. A 10-15 Ohm 20-25W Real wirewound resistor will cure that problem. Look for Vitreous Enamel in the description. Carl KM1H _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
