This is a kind of crude way to heat the anode of an expensive triode. The receiving tube companies did use RF induction heating, but the high power transmitting/industrial tubes are bombarded using the electron source already there, the filament, and connecting the grid positive. With this, it is very easy to judge the power going into the plate (VxI).

Thinking out loud 3-500Z and the like gettering with RF?

I have seen on Ebay and Alibaba small to medium RF induction heating
boards for sale for not a whole lot of $$. Has anyone tried to use
one of these in a setup with a coil of suitable size to cherry the
plates of a 3-500Z or 572B?
In theory it should work OK and it would be a lot safer than running
500 V or there about and positive grid voltage to cherry the plates.
The tube manufacturers used this setup in production to flash the
getters on smaller tubes. Your thoughts??

Thanks,
