A little stretch makes little difference due to the low Q of a half-wave
dipole antenna.

My 40 meter "Novice" First antenna Dipole, is still in the air. No Fancy
Baluns, just RG-58 coax split at the center with porcelain insulators.
Wire? Stranded 14 Ga house wire.
Been radiating with it since spring of 1976.
