Most of the ACSSB junk has been ripped out. I did some work for the UK company which came up with the original system which, I think, EFJ marketed in the US. 20odd years ago 5kHz channel spacing and a whole trunking system in a single 25kHz channel seemed way ahead of the field. I'm interested to know why you refer to it as 'junk' - was it no good in practice?
