Or indeed when you're trying to make your signal stand out, just a
little, from the pileup calling a DXpedition. "Just a little" is all it
takes for the DXpedition operator to get a mental lock on your signal
rather than someone else's, and then a good operator will pull you
through.

The point is this: Even though +1.76dB is quite small, it *will* shade
the odds in your favor by a small but positive amount, and that *will*
make a difference in the long game.
