It's distilled water! High resistivity, low conductivity. As Jeff said, there is a finite risk of death, no matter what you do. Like others on here who have worked with high power, high voltage, water cooled amps, I saw very little additional risk because of water cooling.

The greatest risk comes from taking the covers off and defeating the interlocks to work on the amp with power applied. (Don't forget to take off the neck chain) Of course, there is a risk of operator heart attack when that main contactor powered open due to a loss of water pressure. When a contactor supplying several hundred KW powers open, under load, it may be really loud!

Apparently folks have been killed by 12v, but it's rare - link below (long) is good read.
Read the whole thing, the better stuff is way down....

50v might easily be lethal under right conditions...

What if leaked water somehow got you across a KW RF out lead, relay terminals, whatever...??

Safety experience from industry is not necessarily relevant.
Hams home-brewing or troubleshooting on the bench don't have OSHA looking over their shoulder. "Hmm...thing isn't cooling too well. Lets just put in a bigger pump, more flow, more pressure...yeah..."

Water cooling a SS Amp with its much lower voltages is even less
