Dear All: I notice that even when the antenna is properly tuned, an initial call will cause the shut-down of the amp apparently because it is drawing more power than the 500 watts it should be. I now start at some relatively low power setting and gradually work upward to maximum power near 500 w. But if I stop using the amp for a few minutes and then try a call, it will shut down again.
