Exactly what math is this?

Tell that to VE7RF

You are correct, however that technique is usually applied in circuits
such as extremely broad banded RF preamps and audio amplifier bypass
to cover a frequency range of several orders of magnitude. It is not
necessary for a HF RF power amplifier but if you want to do it,
there's nothing wrong with that. Your effective total bypass
capacitance will pretty much be close to the total value though across
HF.

Really? I'd like to see one of these handbooks. Please point me to
one. I'm willing to learn and be corrected.

VE7RF: What is this "argument" of which you speak? I consider this
constructive dialog.

Your response is lengthy and all over the place and conveys
observations and diversions and subjective assessments. I deal in a
world of facts. I don't have time to plow through 1000 words. Also,
this amps reflector sucks. It takes 5 days for my posts to get
distributed. I don't have time for that either.
