how much all those fancy watt meters cost. If you have a Bird 43 or something else already, get a $30 camera, put it in front of your watt meter and connect it to your computer or network like any modern surveillance camera used for home security systems. Rob K5UJ The true cost of BIRD for the ham is realy large. Due to the spec of 5% of FULL SCALE..means that one must have a stack of BIRD slugs to get multi levels of power VS frequency covered. One of the beauties of the LP-100 is the spec... "Power accuracy is better than 5% at any frequency from ~1W to maximum, 3% typical with NIST traceable factory calibration""" no slugs necessary..... bill ny9h/3 _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
