I have had to replace several of those switches. Yes, the leads are long
enough but barely to push it out to desolder then solder. One of those leads I
unsoldered from the circuit board to bring it out. It is a bit cantankerous to
work on. The switches, if you replace them which would be best, are cheap
enough from Ameritron and I bought extras. GL!

 Hello,

The plate current/high voltage (Ip/Hv) rocker switch on my 2008 Ameritron
AL-811H is intermittent and needs replacement or cleaning(?).

I don't believe I would be able to unsolder the 3 wires attached to the
Ip/Hv rocker switch before sliding the switch forward through the front
panel of the amplifier to remove it.

Is anyone able to tell me, from experience, if those 3 wires attached to
the switch are long enough to remain connected to the switch as I push it
forward through the front panel?  I would unsolder the 3 wires from the
switch after it was pushed through the front panel.

The rocker switches on this amp are not illuminated.

Could this rocker switch be cleaned with out the cleaner dissolving any
lubricant that may be inside of it?

Any guidance would be really appreciated!! THANK YOU!

Jay, k2zt
