I received this, and a number of similar responses from others.

Nobody ever seemed to mention the lower power output in the Alpha 76 3CX800
conversion articles, although AC0C came close. A little disappointing that
going from 1200 watts of plate dissipation (3 x 3CX400) to 1600 watts (2 x
3CX800) results in lower output.

3CX800's have become as unobtainium as 3CX400's. I may convert my amp back
to 3CX400's.
