I have a 8877 tube tester built by W3YQ and designed with help from W8ZR. I 
have 25 8877 amplifiers here.

My HB 6M amp now blows the fuse in the HV line. I opened it up and after 
disconecting the  anode from the circuit, I get abt 12 megohms from the anode 
to ground. I've never measured one before but assume that is not right and I 
have a shorted tube. If that's the consensus here I'll open up my HB HF amp and 
pull that tube to test 6M.Thanks, Dick NY1E
P.S. I can't complain, I bought the tube for $250 22 years ago....
