Use CW to tune the amp for 4X the carrier power and you're good. The amp will be inefficient at carrier power, but will be properly loaded for thr peak power output and so "linear" with the cleanest signal.

Looking for suggestions as to a quick way to tune a linear for AM operation.

Amp will be undercoupled if tuned using an unmodulated carrier. I don't have
an easy way tune at high modulation percentage so as to simulate full peak
power other than yakking into the mic :)

I suppose I could tune using CW from my SSB rig at 4x the AM carrier power.
Reactions from the list?
