First time on the list, so here goes.I built the 10m 4ele beam in the arrl
handbook. All seemed ok until you put the thing up the mast ( a mere 30ft
).Then the swr went awol and a lot of work ensued sorting it out.Im now
unsure if its wkg anywhere near the design parameters and need to sort it
out.If anyone has a decent workable design for a 4ele 10m beam on a 14ft
boom using 3/8 6061 t6 for the centres and 1/2 6061 t6 for the inserts.It
is gamma matched and would like to keep that method of matching.If anyone
can help i will be eternally grateful.Also how does a quad compare with a
beam as im building the swiss quad in the arrl handbook for fun and will be
interested in how its going to perform.
