And measurements with this type of balun would be equally meaningless.
It has been long
noted that for a coaxial balun, the coils must be made on a form, not
randomly wound.
And that form cannot be hung from a convenient place, such as the
boom.
Also, since the beam is working on 20, that means the traps are
functioning to some degree. And the effect of the inner trap on a
particular band, say 10 meters, is to place such a high reactance to
other frequencies that for all practical purposes, the
antenna thinks it ends at the inside of the trap.
