I put my 402cd at the bottom of the mast for two reasons.
1. To reduce strain on the mast, rotator and thrust  bearing.
2. Since ithe 402cd  has a boom support truss that is mounted above on
the mast  and not on the kt34a  it allows me to space them farther apart
and reduce interaction, mostly on 15 meters.
