You can use either.
With 1/2 WL of 50 ohm or 75 ohm cable, and impedance matches what is 1/2 WL
away.
When I rebuilt my 40 4 sqaure, I used 3/4 WL 75 ohm cable - saved having to
splice in the extra cable.
