"disadvantage" of living in the Black Hole? What? - the eastern types not
only have better propagation to EU, they also control the US Snail?? :-)

Instead of getting onto the "have you gotten your NCJ yet" thread yet
one more time, let me summarize all the points now and maybe we can
save some bandwidth.
1) There are three classes of service: air mail (for overseas), first
class, and slow boat. You get what you pay for, and if you pay for
slow boat delivery, then you will be making postings to CQ-Contest
wondering why "everyone else" gets their before you.
2) The stickers are all stuck on the magazines in Newington. It takes
a while to do this, and it's a list operation. If you are on the
bottom of the list, your sticker gets stuck last.
3) The first class and airmail ones get their stickers stuck first.
4) The magazines are handled by the US Postal Service. Although they
mostly do a good job, I can imagine some weird things happening
to a few out of each 3000 non-first class items that are sent.
And now for my data point: I receive mine via first class mail and
I received the Jul/Aug issue a couple of days ago. Propagation here
is not quite as good as on the east coast, of course. :-)

Didn't we have this discussion a few months back with the last issue?
If it's mailed from the east coast, bulk rate, that's where it's gonna be
delivered first.
If you're in a real rush, I think there's a first class delivery
available for an extra charge...

Concerning Pasternack, I have used them commercially and they are quick
and reliable. However, I dont have any experience with the cable that
they are advertising.
