Check logs gratefully received from:
OZ5MJ, DL7UOO, DJ5QY, IV3WHL, 9H1ET, HA6NY, SM3BCS, IV3ZDO
Countries active in the contest include: 5R, 9K, 9N, OD, OH0, PJ9
HH, ZA, 7P
This year we had received 172 contest logs, slightly down on last
years entry. This may have been due to the declining HF conditions,
particularly evident on 15 and 10 meterrs. Activity was still very
high and most operators will have found a few new countries to work.
It was especially pleasing to see Patrick Cordozo HH2PK come out on
top in the single op. all band class. His 1993 entry would have
been good enough for a top three place, but arrived a few days
after the results had been announced. The winners of the single
band classes all had solid clear-cut wins, but things were a little
closer in the multi/op. class where the lads at GW5NF gave the
UZ9CWA group some serious competition.
See you all in 1995.

Sorry tp disagree but unsubscribe works just fine on virtually every
listserver (20 or so) that I have used, including some that don't have it
in their help file.

I happen to like the ARRL DX contest for QRP country chasing...40-meters
from out here, for example. Admittedly, it's self serving, but low-power
and QRP contesters really enjoy the "NA Turkey Shoot"...
However, I have an alternative...I suggest a 24-hr contest at the end of
April or first week of May. That puts it after Dayton and well in advance
of CQ WPX CW, the traditional harbinger of summer propagation ;-) Or make
it a sprint format as has been discussed recently, substituting 4- or
6-digit grid square for name.

I was doing some number crunching this weekend and came to the conclusion
that the Cushcraft A4S would make a pretty good weather vane. Do any of
you out there that own a A4 note any problems with the A4 trying to turn
in the wind?
