Does anyone have info on a comparison of a single element EWE vs a
one to two wavelength Beverage for 160/80M contesting/DXing use?
Also, are their any improvements/constuction tips for the EWE
described in Feb95 QST?

Does anyone have any good info on the rumored new CONTEST radio
from Yaesu? Model number I've heard is to be FT1000MP.
>From what I know (which is darn little) this is NOT a rework of FT1000/D,
but a new radio. Heard it includes DDS (tx/rx), dual receive (but maybe
only "in band"), less than 1Hz tuning resolution, some Collins filter(s),
and some "menu" setup items.
Is this a step up from FT1000D, or something like the IC775?
So many choices, so little money..... sigh!
