Final Score = 126650 points.
This was my first time operating an NAQP as well as my first try using 2
radios. Both had some rough spots with the roughest being my offtime
strategy. I should have reserved some time for the last hour or so of the
contest. I also wish i would have worked the brief early opening on
10m-however the 100+ first hour on 20m was too strong a lure.
The 2 radio part actually went well technically, with the only rough spot
being my failure to alt-r for the log when I flipped the switch on the box
for radio #2. Lots of trips to the log window for some editing. (First
try w/TR software-maybe there's a better way?)
Thanks to Jim, N3BB, for the use of his staion (and name!) and to George,
WB5VZL for the use of his switch box.

One of the simplest things missing from modern radios is a line
level audio input. Such a second audio input would allow audio
from voice keyers, computers, etc. to go in at a level (0 to +8
dbm, i.e. a volt or two), that would eliminate virtually all the
problems with hum, rf feedback, etc., that crop up when using a
microphone level (-50dbm/several millivolts) input.
I think some old rigs had such an input: back then it was called
a phone patch input.

The only problem with HF S meters is the range of > 120 dB from under 0.1 uV to
over 1 V antenna input signals. VHF mobile radio people have excellent IC's
for about 60 dB signal strength measurements as they use reasonable power!
Some of these cheap S meters have appeared in ham magazines lately.

Well, this was my first NAQP (actually my first CONTEST other than
a few hours here and there in WPX, etc). Had lots of fun, and think
I learned some things for next time.
10 and 15m were pretty quiet here too, altho I worked CX6BZ in
Montevideo, Uruguay on 10m - he was a good S7 here. Had a good opening
to SC, GA, NC, and AL for a bit at that time, but that was about it.
15m was even more empty.... 20m and 40m were very nice though.
I was a member of the Big Blue team, so the team score will be
turned in later. However, my stats were:
