I had a much more enjoyable time with this contest than the phone portion
last month, largely in part due to the fact that I like CW better. I also
had my antennas up and working and consequently was able to work 40 mtrs this
time. The halfsquare worked great, thanks for all of the helpful comments
concerning this antenna. This was my first effort at contesting on CW, I put
in about 15 hours total. I had to work all day Sunday, a fact which caused
me no small amount of anger & resentment. Hopefully I'll be independently
wealthy late in life, I think that being found in a non-living state at my
rig AFTER CQWW CW in about the year 2025 or 2030 would be a perfect way to
go. I'll send in my scores just before I draw my last breath, of course. I
used a memory keyer and paddle and all logging was done on paper. I hope to
learn the CT program sometime in 1996 well enough to use it and also plan on
learning how to type! Adrenaline Highpoint: Working A92Q on 15 Saturday
morning and TY5A on 3 bands!!! Widest Range of Emotion: Having TY5A answer
my CQ on 80 mtrs Sat. night and a little while later experiencing disgust and
nausea over the probability of someone's piracy at my naive expense. I would
like to send a special "Thank You" to Ray Rocker, WQ5L, for his comments,
suggestions, and advice. Murphy stayed away, the XYL went shopping, and I
thoroughly enjoyed myself. Already thinking up improvements for next year.

Do not know what the problem is but my scores keep getting bounced. I get a
MACA error for the Sweepstakes Scores. I also got a MACA return on the final
posting of the CQWW SSB Scores. I just sent the CQWW CW first posting scores
and they bounced back with a B2NET/POSTMASTER return or something. I am not
sure where the problem is but I am trying to get them on here. But if for
some reason I have been bumped off here I will stop putting anything on
here. Lots of work gone to waste. Someone let me know what is going on.

We all had some fun bashing the NosePicker net types that hang out on 75
meters, after the last SSB/SS. Fact is that I even had some fun battleing
it out with them durring the contest. I paid no heed to the one slack jawed
moron who said "We gunna sind this here boy a post cord" Heck I figured I
could add it to my collection and maybe get a new county who knew?
Well gang the post card I got was a tad less pleasent than all that. Seems
old Jimmyjoebob looked up my address on the online QRZ data base. And along
with my PO Box he got my E-Mail adress. Now it seems I have to contend with
this genetic misfit posting some rather inflamatory remarks on some usenet
news groups that while unnamed I can best describe as ones that I would
forbid my children to look at. And these posts proudly carry my E-Mail
address as the one to send return flames to.
Now I am getting lots of happy mail from fellows adamitly defending there
right to down load photographs of naked 9 year olds having intercourse with
the family dog. Very humorous BUBBA!
Recently there was a thread concerning wether or not a contester would be a
likely suspect to commit a hommicide. Things such as they are I would hope
that I don't run across this example of why abortions should remain leagle.
I might just be tempted to do something that would bring serrious dishonor
to my house.
If anyone experiances anything similar won't you please E-Mail me? As soon
as I track down the portal I will notify the Postmaster though I doubt it
will do any good.

I would not do this and asked my friends/crew not to do this.
When I get a query that "UR CALL PSE?" just after the QSO,
I ignore the question (or sometimes remove the QSO from the log).
I expect Top stations you are alike to show the GOOD EXAMPLE of
the operation. Will you imagine all the big guns do this manner
and little pistols follow? The band will be in chaos.
I asked all the ops at KH0AM to sign the callsign in every xmittion
so these "ur call?" questions were not heard so often.
There are some stations who do not sign their own calls in every
time and had to listen for a few minutes to confirm their call.
When I find these not_so_often_sign_own_call stations, I ask him/her
"ur call?" before the QSO.
